A Cinematic Suite
by Sam Nuttmann
Album Synopsis
The Thing About Thinking is a cinematic album that explores the quiet erosion of memory and the sanctuaries we build to survive it. As a woman gradually loses her grasp on reality, she escapes into an internal world constructed from the lingering pieces of who she used to be – where mountain landscapes, distant music, and scattered moments still hold their shape.
Told through acoustic instrumentation and cinematic scoring, the music moves between the cold clarity of present loss and the gentle warmth of an enduring inner life. It is a portrait of forgetting, memory, and the unseen worlds held within the mind.
